The Grand Tour of Kenitra

Our third day in Morocco began by going to Mr. Defaa's sister, Loubna's, house for a brunch meal. We had some fruity appetizers along with various pastries. We were in store for a full day again, with a tour of the city. We saw Loubna's home in Kentira and snapped a picture of his living room. All the Moroccan homes have a living room this style, with couches that wrap around the outside of the room
and a table that can be removed for eating on. We eat meals in the room, gather, relax, and all talk together!

The meal was our first cous cous in Morocco, which is extremely different than the kind you buy in a box at Shaw's... It was delicious. All of this food is delicious and everyone is so hospitable.

After we finished our huge meal and relaxed in the comfy Moroccan living room for a while, we went for a walk in the city of Kenitra. The city is home to many people and it was kind of overwhelming.

We walked through markets and many stands selling fresh fruit and many different goods. This tent was full of colorful fabrics:

Matt posed for some pictures with "Charlie Chaplin" before he gave all the ladies some flowers from the bouquet he was holding, he wanted some durhams in return but
we got some good pictures anyway.

We stopped at a cafe called Cafe Venezia for refreshments. Most of us got cafe au lait but Matt decided to pick the most expensive thing on the coffee menu and got "Le Montecristo."
It was a mocha, ice cream, and whipped cream drink that was delicious. We know because everyone tasted it...
The sunset over the city streets was beautiful!

After the coffee perked us up, we headed back to Loubna's house for a "light" dinner. We had some tomato lentil soup with the obligatory homemade bread rolls
and some little churros that were incredibly addicting.

After a long day we headed back to the house in Kenitra and relaxed and talked for the night. Although, relaxing has really come to mean playing with little Nore, the daughter of the
family who owns the house in Kenitra, we don't mind. We all love Nore like she's our little cousin and she seems to especially enjoy Remy's company.
